*The additional fee ($150) for U10 Step 3 will be collected after players have been evaluated and placed on teams. The additional cost covers full ice usage, higher cost for referees, etc. This fee will be applied in October and payment will be due by November 15, 2024

** Must have attended the AGM in April 2024 and your child must be registered before July 15, 2024. In addition, members must have been in good standing in the 2023/2024 season.  AGM credit is not available for players receiving the New to Ringette discount

 

  • NEW to ringette U12-U19 player - discount of 25% off the applicable registration fee.  Register online and contact the registrar at registrar@fortsaskringette.com in order for the discount to be applied to your account.
  • NEW: U14-U19 goalies to receive a 50% refund upon the completion of the season (includes any provincials or league championships).  Refunds to occur by May. A $300 goalie equipment reimbursement will be available beginning November 1st with receipts dated after May 1st of the current calendar year.  Contact registrar for more details.
  • Players registering after July 15, 2024 may be placed on a waitlist, will not be guaranteed registration and will not be eligible for the AGM attendance credit. 
  • Credit card is the only form of payment accepted online (please ensure your credit card is valid until payments are done), other forms of payment must be arranged with the Fort Saskatchewan Minor Sports Association Office via email (fsmsa@telus.net) or phone (780.998.1835)
    • Four payments may also be made by postdated cheques payable to FSRA and must be received in person to the FSMSA office by July 15th to secure registration. 
  • Additional fees not included in the registration fee can include: team fees (determined by team to cover costs of tournaments, apparel, exhibition games, etc.), player equipment, travel/accommodations for tournaments, etc. 
  • Accounts must be in good standing in order to register for the 2024/2025 season. Good standing includes payment of team fees.
  • RAB/Ringette Canada/Insurance Player fee will be paid directly to Ringette Alberta during registration.  This is a fee of $88.50-$98.50 (based on level) and will show as a separate line on the registration payment details and this fee is in addition to the FSRA registration fees.  In the event this fee is not charged upon registration, let the registrar know.  The registrar will coordinate with RAB to get the fee paid.

Full payment MUST be paid by October 25, 2024 and additional S3 fee paid in full before November 18, 2024. Any unpaid fees will result in a suspension from FSRA until accounts are in good standing.

 

PAYMENT INFORMATION

  • Option to choose a 4-month payment plan when registering online or in person. Equal payments will be charged when you register, August 15, September 15, and October 15. Please ensure your credit card is valid for all of these payments. 
  • November 18th will be the due date for any additional fees charged due to team placement.
  • Members that were not in good standing in the previous season may not be eligible for registration until they restore their membership to good standing. They will be responsible for all fees as per the boards discretion.

AGM Credit

AGM credit is applied to member’s accounts after the registration period closes and before the season begins. Refund will be made according to method of payment for all eligible members.  

Volunteer Commitment

Members with one athlete in FSRA must complete 10 credits.  Members with additional athletes must complete an additional 5 credits per athlete to fulfill their volunteer commitment.  Failure to comply with the volunteer commitments will result in a $400 fee being applied to a member's RAMP account.  Payment must be made by the end of May 2025 in order to remain in good standing for the next season.  Failure to resolve may inhibit future RAMP registrations.

Active start athletes will have to fulfill 5 credits per athlete. 

Active volunteering is required for the success of each athlete, their teams, and the association. Volunteer credits will be allocated to the volunteer opportunity at the time of the volunteer request.  Options to complete this volunteering commitment is described below:  

Examples of Volunteer Opportunities:

  • FSRA Executive Position (10 credits)
  • Acting as a Coach, Assistant Coach, Trainer, or Manager, Team Treasurer (i.e. Team Staff) of any Association team, so long as the application for the position is received prior to the deadline, required coursework is completed and verified (10 credits unless role is split between two members)
  • Come Try Ringette 
  • Neighbor Day
  • Canada Day Parade 
  • FSRA Diamond Ring
  • Year-end Division or Provincials
  • Attendance of non-FSRA Concession Event, as required by FSMSA
  • Other event, as prior approved and at the discretion of the Volunteer Coordinator

BINGO EXPECTATIONS

  • NEW: Complete your BINGO in the summer (May, June, July, August) to complete your commitment and receive $50 credit on your registration.  The only limit for the $50 credit in summer months is you can not exceed the value of your registration fee. Credits will not be applied until after the summer months are complete.
  • Every family with players in U10-U19 will be expected to provide an adult (over the age of 18) to complete one BINGO shift (Note: Day and Evening Bingo count as 1 BINGO shift).  Families have until November 1st to sign up for their mandatory bingo shift.  Families can sign up for additional BINGOs to receive a $50 credit to their registration.  
  • NOTE: Credits on registration outside the summer months may be subject to availability. 
  • Active Start families will be required to complete one bingo if the active start is the sole member of FSRA.  
  • If you are unable to attend the bingo shift that you have signed up for, it is your responsibility to find a replacement.  Failure to do so will result in a fee of $200 being applied to your account and it must be paid before your child can participate in FSRA activities

 

Failure to complete the required bingos will result in a $400 fee being applied to a member's RAMP account.  Payment must be made by the end of May 2025 in order to remain in good standing for the next season.  Completing bingos as part of volunteer credits may be available upon approval of the fundraising coordinator.

LATE REGISTRATION FEES

Late Registration Fees are as follows: 

  • Register prior to October 31 - pay 100% of the registration fee 
  • Register prior to November 30 - pay 90% of the registration fee 
  • Register after team Declaration date to RAB will only be available for Active Start

 

Late registrants may also be responsible for any additional RAB fees incurred due to late registration.

PRE-SEASON CAMP

This year, 2 pre-season camp sessions will be available.  Athletes are only allowed to register to one camp (session 1 or session 2).

Registration: 50$

The pre-season camp will be used as a pre-evaluation/conditioning to get our athletes ready for evaluation and team placement.  New this season, the player evaluation process will start Day 1 of tryout.

REFUND POLICY

Please see the refund policy 2000 in FSRA’s Policies on our website for a breakdown of refunds applicable based on the withdrawal data as well as when an athlete makes a higher tier team elsewhere.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Registration fees, participation hours, additional fees, and application of the AGM attendance registration credit are set each season by the executive prior to registration. 

If you are interested in coaching, applications are available on our website. All applications and inquiries are to be directed to Bob Dul, Player/Coach Development Director development@fortsaskringette.com.

Any request for specific placement of your child must be submitted to the Player/Coach Development Director or Division Coordinator prior to team evaluations/selections. All requests will be considered individually by the Player/Coach Development Director and the Division Coordinator.
