2022/2023 Registration

REGISTRATION for the 2022/2023 season will begin on-line June 1st and will close on July 15th.

*The additional fee ($150) for U10 Step 3 will be collected after players have been evaluated and placed on teams. The additional cost covers full ice usage, higher cost for referees, etc. This fee will be applied in October and payment will be due by November 15, 2022

** Must have attended the AGM in April 2022 and your child must be registered before July 15, 2022. In addition, members must have been in good standing in the 2021/2022 season.  AGM credit is not available for players receiving the New to Ringette discount

***An additional fee ($150) for top tiered team of the division U12-U19 may be applied if additional ice times are available during the season. This fee will be applied in October (if applicable) and payment will be due by November 15, 2022.  This additional fee does not preclude the team staff of all other teams from requesting additional ice times during the season

• NEW to ringette U10-U19 player - discount of 25% off the applicable registration fee. Must be registered in the FSMA office.
• Players registering after July 15, 2022 may be placed on a waitlist, will not be guaranteed registration and will not be eligible for the AGM attendance credit.
• Credit card is the only form of payment accepted online (please ensure your credit card is valid until payments are done), other forms of payment must be arranged with the Fort Saskatchewan Minor Sports Association Office via email (fsmsa@telus.net) or phone (780.998.1835)
  • Four payments may also be made by postdated cheques payable to FSRA and must be received in person to the FSMSA office by July 15th to secure registration.
• Additional fees not included in the registration fee can include: team fees (determined by team to cover costs of tournaments, apparel, exhibition games, etc.), player equipment, travel/accommodations for tournaments, etc.
• Accounts must be in good standing in order to register for the 2022/2023 season. Going forward, in good standing will include payment of team fees.
• New this season -RAB/Ringette Canada/Insurance Player fee will be paid directly to Ringette Alberta during registration.  This is a fee of $61 and will show as a separate line on the registration payment details and this fee is in addition to the FSRA registration fees.  This fee has historically been collected by FSRA as part of the registration fees and remitted to Ringette Alberta. This fee has been excluded from the fees charged by FSRA this season.

Half of player’s registration MUST be paid by October 1, 2022 and paid in full before November 16, 2022. Any unpaid fees will result in a suspension from FSRA until accounts are in good standing.

FEE/PAYMENT INFORMATION

• Option to choose a 4-month payment plan when registering online or in person. Equal payments will be charged when you register, August 15, September 15, and October 15. Please ensure your credit card is valid for all of these payments.
• November 15^th will be the due date for any additional fees charged due to team placement.
• Members that were not in good standing in the previous season may be subject to another fee schedule as per the board’s discretion.

AGM Credit

AGM credit is applied to member’s accounts after the registration period closes and before the season begins. Refund will be made according to method of payment for all eligible members.

LATE REGISTRATION FEES

Late Registration Fees are as follows:

• Register prior to October 31 - pay 100% of the registration fee
• Register prior to November 30 - pay 90% of the registration fee
• Register prior to December 31 - 75% of the registration fee
• Register after January 1 - 60% of the registration fee

Late registrants may also be responsible for any additional RAB fees incurred due to late registration.

REFUND POLICY

The refund policy consists of a percentage of the registration fee charged (may be a pro-rated amount due to delayed season start). Any additional administration fees from the MSA office are the responsibility of the registrant and will be deducted at that time:

• withdraw by August 31 - 90% registration fee refunded (less a $20 processing fee)
• withdraw by September 15 - 75% registration fee refunded (less a $20 processing fee)
• withdraw by November 15 - 50% registration fee refunded (less a $20 processing fee)
• withdraw after November 15 - no refund

The return of the bingo participation cheque and the volunteer participation cheque for any withdrawals after November 15^th will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the executive.

Registration fees, participation hours and additional fees are set each season by the executive prior to registration. This could include the addition of stipulations that may change the way the membership will qualify for the AGM registration discount.

Any request for specific placement of your child must be submitted to the Player/Coach Development Director or Division Coordinator prior to team evaluations/selections. All requests will be considered individually by the Player/Coach Development Director and the Division Coordinator.
